The LandaGO rural autonomous mobility project has taken a key step in its development with the launch of data collection. Since early January 2025, the vehicle has been traveling along the road connecting Amezketa and Abaltzisketa in Gipuzkoa.
During this initial phase, the vehicle will not operate autonomously but will be supervised at all times by specialized personnel. The primary objective is to gather essential data on real terrain conditions, such as elevation changes, road irregularities, and potential obstacles. This information will be crucial for adapting autonomous technology to rural environments.
The vehicle’s presence will become increasingly common in the area, marking the beginning of a phase aimed at transforming mobility in Gipuzkoa’s rural regions, making it more accessible, safe, and efficient.
